Kibri 13033 LIEBHERR LTM 1800 with rocker

LTM 1800 8 axles traction engine Liebherr 8 cylinder diesel type D 9408 TI-E with 420 kW (570 HP) crane engine Liebherr 6 cylinder diesel type D 9406 TI-E with 300 kW (408 HP). The Liebherr havy duty telescopic mobile crane type LTM 1800 which is offerd as universal crane with a lattice boom as LG 1550 respectively LGD 1800 has been built 34 times by Liebherr since 1987. Since 1991 there is a lattice mast verison that has been order 10 times so far with the derrick jib with hovering ballast. 1996 Baldwins/England and Nostokone/Finland received for their 800 ton telescopic cranes the derrick system for telescopic jib operation for the first time. Meanwhile Thömen/D-Hamburg Bullen/D-Greven Ainiscough/England Ashley/England Moundorua/Argentia Tianaher/Taiwan and the second Baldwins crane(England) have been equipped with the telescopic derrick system. It consists of of a 31.5 m long derrick and a total of 240 t hovering ballast. For instance when using the derrick system the LTM 1800 offers an increased bearing load of 260% for a 50.7 m long telescopic jib at 46 m outreach. Instead of 31 t without the derrick the crane lifts in thsi special configuration 81 t. The bracing of the derrick can either be achieved by connecting it to the telescopic mast on the first or second telesopic element in order to increase the bearing load over the entire length of the jib up to 56.4m. The derrick system also offers improved bearing loads when operating with rigid or rocker lattice jib top and thus provides completely new application options for the LTM 1800. With foresight Kibri has again selected an innovative prototype to model b yintroducing the bae model LTM 1800 already in 1992. The LTM 1800 has received recognition by a number of global operators around the worl due to its compactness and extremly versatile applications. Large industrialmachines of that kind are usually manufactured as single units or at best in a small series. Thsi si not the case with the Liebherr LTM 1800/LG 1551 which ahs been manufactured since 1987!
