The origninal of this Kibri building is the auxilliary signal box in Ottbergen Mitte (Om). In addition to its general tasks it also controlled the traffic of the locomotive facility. After redesigning the trackage in the 1960-ties this signal box became reduntant. The building as such with its brick walls was eventually torn down in 1982. The ensemble Ottbergen with water stand pipes and three track locomotive shed and turntable is thus enriched with an important building.
